The highway was opened at 3:45 a.m. Jun 9, 2021 at 01:10 Highway 17 between Wawa and White River is closed. ON511 says it is closed at Hammer Lake. Wawa-news has been told that this is closed because of a collision with a moose.

WFD called to residence on Klondike

Just before 7:15 this morning, the Wawa Fire Department was called to a residence on Klondike Avenue for visible smoke. Firefighters entered the residence, and were seen installing an exhaust fan to vent the building. At the time of this report, 7:55, firefighters are still on scene.
