Livestock Hauling Pigs Overturns on Agawa Hill

  Early Thursday evening a livestock hauler carrying little pigs overturned on the Agawa Hill just after the entrance to the Agawa Bay Scenic Lookout. Police ask for assistance in Hwy 17 Fatal Collision

On May 25, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 just south of the Town of White River, Ontario. Hwy 17 Wawa to Dubreuilville is Closed

Details are sketchy but Highway 17 between Wawa and White River is closed. Wawa-news has called the North Bay Communications Centre and we are waiting on a press release. Their media person is now in the office and writing it, no other information is available at this time. According to Ontario511 the highway was closed at 3:39 a.m.

Spring cleaning at École Saint-Joseph (Wawa)

Grade 1 students at École Saint-Joseph (Wawa), with the help of their teacher Mr. Brandon Vachon-Case, cleaned the school’s soccer field last week. The grade 7 and 8 students then proceeded to clean off all the sand on the field. The students did a great job maintaining their wonderful schoolyard while also taking care of the environment.
