Raymond was born in Cache Bay, Ontario on November 17, 1939. He enlisted in the Army on March 15, 1957 and served with the 7th Battalion Canadian Guards in Canada and Germany during Peacetime. Raymond was discharged on April 13, 1960. He has been a member of Wawa Legion Branch 429 for ten years.
