AMOS, William W.

William was born in Mulvihill, Manitoba on July 18, 1921. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on April 7, 1940, and served in the motor division with the Lake Superior Scottish Regiment in France, Italy, Germany, and England during World War II. He was discharged on December 12, 1945.

He was awarded the Volunteer Star, the Italy Star and the France and Germany Star.

He moved to Wawa where he was very active in Branch 429, serving all offices plus president. He worked at Wawa Home Hardware as clerk. He was a member of the Dryden Legion Branch 63 for six years and Wawa Branch 429 for fourteen years. William passed away on December 6, 1972.
