On April 11, 2022, shortly after 12:00 p.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault a local secondary school on Kensington Avenue in Johnson Township.
Investigation determined a student was physically assaulted when another student elbowed and slammed the 15 year-old victim’s head against a locker.
As a result, a 15 year-old from Thessalon was charged with: Assault, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on May 12, 2022.
