The off and on downpours didn’t dampen spirits at Wawa’s 2017 Terry Fox Run. The run was a five kilometre loop, and there were runners, walkers and bicyclists participating. This year’s run was in honour of Wawa’s Lori Johnson who recently passed away from cancer.
Organizer Nadine Cartledge said that her run (personally) was excellent! The run had 25 more participants than last year, and over $1000 more was raised despite the rain. She explained that they have raised over $4000, and there is still a bit more to come in from outstanding pledges, and École Saint Joseph will be doing their run in a couple of days.
