On June 24, 2017, members of the East Algoma Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 17 east of the Town of Iron Bridge.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m., police observed the eastbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, Serafettin SOLAK, 36 years of age from Edmonton, Alberta, was charged with:
- Driving While Suspended, contrary to section 53(1)of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA); and with
- Speeding, contrary to section 128 of the HTA.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on August 16, 2017.
