On October 23, 2017, at approximately 5:20 pm members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and members from the Superior East (Wawa) OPP detachment executed a warrant on a residence in the town of Wawa. As a result of police investigation, a quantity of drugs was located at the residence with a total street value of $12,030.00.
Three persons were arrested and charged with the following:
Pascal GAGNON, 41 years of age from Wawa, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule I (cocaine) contrary to Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule II (cannabis) contrary to Section 5 (2) CDSA
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule II cannabis (oil) contrary to Section 5(2) CDSA
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Pierre Louis DELGUIDICE, 61 years of age from Dubreuilville, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule I (cocaine) contrary to Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule II (cannabis) contrary to Section 5 (2) CDSA
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule II cannabis (oil) contrary to Section 5(2) CDSA
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 17-year-old female was also charged with the following:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule I (cocaine) contrary to Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule II (cannabis) contrary to Section 5 (2) CDSA
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule II cannabis (oil) contrary to Section 5(2) CDSA
The accused was released on a promise to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Wawa on December 11, 2017.
