From the Branch – July 26

Jul 26, 2017 @ 08:03
Yes, we lost 2 Comrades again Jack O Brien and Anatole Bober who sure will be missed because of their long service to the Branch.
Our President Comrade Mary Anne Pearson is already looking for more volunteers to help with this years Poppy Campaign. So if you can free some time contact her and  get on the Poppy Committee like we all promised when becoming members. I myself will man the usual places fro distributing poppies during the Campaign.
It was nice to see the CAF contingent from North Bay and Petawawa who participated in the 101th. Nijmegen walk and did 50 km each day for 4 days and when going through Groesbeek they had a ceremony at the Canadian War Cemetery and the Commanding Officer spoke and mentioned how the Dutch keep those graves of our Heroes so neat and clean.
At the Branch all is quiet and we hope everyone is enjoying their summer.
At Math class the teacher asked Johnnie in Grade 1, “If lay 4 eggs in a basket and you lay 4 more eggs with them how many eggs will there be?”
So Johnnie replied “ still only 4 because I cannot lay any eggs!”
To all our Comrades sick at home, in the hospital or nursing homes you are in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you well.
