The Algoma District School Board advises that last evening (February 27, 2017), a second bomb threat was made to Elliot Lake Secondary School. As a thorough search of the school was made late yesterday, the school is open today (Tuesday February 28) for classes.
The school will, however, be in a “hold and secure” state, meaning that all exterior doors will be locked and all traffic in and out of the school will be through the main entrance only.
Police officers will remain on site for monitoring and for the safety of students and staff. Further information or updates will be provided as necessary, and the Board thanks all students, staff and parents for their ongoing patience and cooperation.
