At 6:52 a.m. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel-size hail and heavy rain.
This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 12 kilometres southeast of Alfred lake to 25 kilometres south of Solann lake, moving east at 45 km/h.
Locations impacted include:
Manitouwadge, Mckay Lake, Outlet Bay, Solann Lake, Michal Lake, Sagiwatan Lake, Shushkaego Lake, Waboosekon Lake, Caramat, Pagwachuan Lake, Tuffy Lake and Stevens.
Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
