At 8:30 this evening, OPP, Algoma EMS and Wawa Fire Department were seen headed south on Hwy 17. They attended to a single vehicle collision, 28 kilometres south of Wawa.
The highway was closed to allow for extrication and transport to the Lady Dunn Health Centre. Firefighters were aided by OPP and Algoma EMS as the vehicle was down a very rocky and steep embankment.
The highway was opened to alternating lanes of traffic around 9:45 p.m.
