25 Years of Service Recognized

As part of last night’s municipal council meeting, Mayor Ron Rody presented Wawa Fire Department Fire Chief Kevin Sabourin a medal and certificate commemorating 25 years of volunteer service from the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office. Kevin has been a firefighter for many years, then becoming fire chief.  A beautiful commemorative pin (trillium) was also awarded to Pam Sabourin in recognition of her support for Kevin as a volunteer. Mayor Ron Rody thanked him for his years of service on behalf of all the residents of Wawa. When Mayor Ron Rody presented Pam with her pin he commented, “Wear it proudly.”
