OPP have opened Highway 17 to one lane.
The highway had been closed at 4:30 this morning because of a washout on the northbound lane. OPP caution that there may be delays as traffic flows through at that area.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment is advising motorists that due to local heavy rainfall a section of Highway 17 approximately 15 kilometers north of Wawa has been washed out. Highway 17 between Wawa and White River has been re-opened to one lane.
Drivers are asked to remain cautious through that area as maintenance crews will be working to make the necessary road repairs.
