Happenings at Wawa First United – Pentecost Sunday

Although we cannot meet for Worship together you may like to read the Scriptures for 23 May 2021 – Pentecost Sunday, also called Whitsunday.   Pentecost is the 50th day after Easter- the 7th Sunday.  It is observed in commemoration of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples

Acts 2: 1-21                         The coming of the Holy Spirit.

        or

Ezekiel 37: 1-14                  The valley of dry bones.

Psalm 104: 24-34, 35b     Wisdom was created at God’s side.

Romans 8: 22-27                The Spirit prays for us with sighs too deep

                                                 for words.

John 15: 26-27; 16: 4-15   Jesus will send the Advocate, the Spirit of

                                                Truth.

To Ponder:    What is the Spirit saying to the church today?

                         How is the Advocate present to you ?
