On Friday July 13, 2018 at approximately noon, members of the West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began their search for a missing boater on Georgian Bay in The Archipelago Township, Ontario.
An extensive search was conducted by members of the West Parry Sound OPP Marine Unit with the assistance of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), Ontario Provincial Park staff, and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU).
The OPP have confirmed that the body of the missing boater has been recovered. The deceased male has been identified as Ram THIRUGNANASUNDRAM, a 42-year-old male from Manvers Township, Ontario.

On Friday July 13, 2018 at approximately noon, members of the West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a boat turning in circles with no one in it on Georgian Bay in The Archipelago Township, Ontario.
The West Parry Sound OPP Marine Unit immediately began to search for the boater with the assistance of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and Ontario Provincial Park staff.
