At 5:34 a.m. Enviornment Canada issued a special weather statement for:
- Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
- White River – Dubreuilville
- Agawa – Lake Superior Park
- Chapleau – Missinaibi Lake
- Gogama – Foleyet,
- all areas shown in grey in the graphic shown.
There is a significant snowfall in the amounts of 15-25cm and risk of freezing rain possible Wednesday and Thursday.
Snow will begin Wednesday morning and is expected to transition to ice pellets in the afternoon. Total snowfall and ice pellet amounts of up to 25 cm are possible by Thursday afternoon when snow tapers off or transitions to rain. There is also a risk of freezing rain Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Considerable uncertainty remains regarding the amount of snowfall and areas receiving freezing rain. A snowfall warning or winter storm warning may be needed as the system approaches.
