A long-lasting period of freezing rain resulting in ice accumulation is expected Sunday.
Freezing rain is expected to develop Sunday morning and persist for much of the day Sunday. Temperatures will slowly rise through the day which will change the freezing rain over to rain Sunday evening.
Motorists should be prepared for hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Utility outages may occur.
