CHARTIER, Lorraine (Nana)

Peacefully at the Lady Dunn Health Centre, Wawa on Monday, August 2, 2010; Lorraine Chartier at the age of 56 years.

Wife of Bruno Chartier. Devoted mother of Kevin (Andrée), Michelle Bernier-Smith (Derek), Johnny (Kayla) and the late Barbie. Loving Nana of Jesse, Joshua, James and Jacob. Daughter of the late Enford and Ruth Rudd. Dear sister of Brian Rudd (Louise) of Terrace, B.C., Aaron Rudd (Judy) of Salmon Arms, B.C. and the late Barb Rudd.

Lorraine was the founding member of N.O.F.C.C. (Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer). She began this charity in 2000 to financially assist Northern Ontario families with the expenses incurred when a family member is diagnosed with cancer.

Friends are invited to call at the P.M. Gilmartin Home (140 Churchill Avenue, Wawa, 1-800-439-4937) on Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Doreen Sproule officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to N.O.F.C.C. would be greatly appreciated by the family.
