THIBEAULT, Eric Joseph

March 23, 1957 – July 21, 2008

After a more than 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer, Eric Thibeault passed away peacefully at his home in White River, Ontario on July 21, 2008.

Eric is survived by his wife of 30 years Melodie (nee Talbot) in White River, and this three daughters Amanda Walchuk (husband Kevin) and grandson John in Oshawa; Kathleen Thibeault (Maurice Townsend) in Pickering and Randi Thibeault in Wawa. Also by his parents Clifford and Maria Thibeault and brother Danny Thibeault of Cartier.

Eric was a proud and active member of the White River Lions Club for 20 years and will be sadly missed by everyone.

Visitation will be held at Lougheed’s Funeral Home on Regent Street, Sudbury on Friday, July 25th, between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service at St. Francis Xavier Church in Cartier at 11:00 on Saturday July 26th.

A memorial service will be held in White River on Monday, July 28th at the Senior’s Harmony Club at 11:00 a.m.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Lady Dunn Hospital Foundation.

Visitors are asked not to use scented body products or perfumes due to severe allergies.

Thank you to the wonderful staff of the Lady Dunn Hospital and the Community Care Access Centre from Wawa for their kindness and caring that has allowed Eric to remain at home with family and friends throughout this difficult time.
