The fire department bought a portable water pressure tester for the fire hoses. This and other essential pieces of equipment will be on display at the Wawa Fire Department’s Open House later this spring.

Early this morning the Wawa Fire Department was called to a transport trailer about 15 kilometres north of Wawa on Highway 17. The transport driver had removed the tractor from the trailer as a precaution, and the smell of burnt brakes was heavy in the air. There was no fire though.  OPP remained at the scene, providing traffic control.
