Our hearts are heavy as we grieve the loss of our EarlyON Centre — a place that was more than just a building. It was a safe space for families, a place of laughter, first friendships, shared milestones, and daily moments of connection that meant so much to so many.
In the midst of this heartbreaking loss, we have been surrounded by an outpouring of care and compassion that has reminded us just how strong and connected our community truly is.
We want to extend our deepest, most sincere thanks to the Michipicoten Volunteer Fire Dept who acted with urgency, bravery, and dedication. Because of you, neighbouring buildings were saved and we are forever grateful for you.
In a moment of uncertainty, Carmine Biasucci and his team at WirelessCom.ca responded without hesitation. Thank you for your swift action, calm approach, and unwavering support during such a difficult time.
To our families, partners, and community members — thank you for every message, every offer of help, every hug, and every kind word. Your support has lifted us during one of the most difficult moments we have faced. A special thank you to THRIVE, MHS, ADSAB, AFS, Royal Canadian Legion #194, Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 429, WESDOME, Melanie Pilon, Scott Nolan & Jesse Saint Pierre. We have received individual donations of resources, toys, and equipment that have helped make our new space feel like home. To our District EarlyON and Child Care Providers who stand with us and feel this loss alongside us, thank you.
While we mourn the loss of a space that held so many memories, we hold tightly to what truly made it special — the people. The relationships built within those walls cannot be taken away, and the spirit of our EarlyON community will continue to live on through all of us.
Together, we will support one another, honour what this centre meant to our community, and move forward with strength, hope, and love.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside us.
Chrystal & Jody, Pauline, Marilyn & Jocelyn, Board of Directors.
