Winter Storm Warning in effect for:
- Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
Winter storm continuing into Thursday.
What:
- Total snowfall amounts near 15 cm north of a line from Batchawana Bay to New Liskeard.
- Freezing rain with 2 to 4 mm of ice accretion possible.
When: Continuing through Thursday morning. For areas near the Ontario – Quebec border, continuing into Thursday evening.
Additional information: The rain-snow line is expected to stretch from near Batchawana Bay to New Liskeard. Along this transition line, freezing rain and ice pellets are likely.
To the north of the transition line, accumulating snow can be expected.
For areas near and south of a line from Sault Ste. Marie towards Sudbury, minimal snowfall accumulation is expected as temperatures will remain above the freezing mark. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 35 mm are expected in these regions.

Winter storm tonight into Thursday.
What:
- Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm possible, mainly north of a line from north of Sault Ste. Marie towards New Liskeard.
- Freezing rain with 2 to 4 mm of ice accretion possible.
When: Beginning tonight and diminishing late Thursday.
Additional information: Light precipitation across the region will intensify later tonight.
Current indications suggest that the rain-snow transition line will stretch from north of Sault Ste. Marie northeast towards New Liskeard.
Along this transition line, patchy freezing rain is likely, while north of the transition line, accumulating snow can be expected.
Confidence in snowfall amounts is low as the temperatures will be near the freezing mark.
For areas near and south of a line from Sault Ste. Marie towards Sudbury, significantly less snow is expected as temperatures will likely be above the freezing mark. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 35 mm will be possible in these regions. Any rain should transition to snow later Wednesday or Wednesday night.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

- Total snowfall amounts near 15 cm possible.
- Freezing rain.
When: Beginning this evening and diminishing late Thursday.
Additional information: Periods of light snow or rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain, will begin this morning and intensify this evening.
Current indications suggest that the rain-snow transition line will stretch from north of Sault Ste. Marie northeast to Temiskaming Shores. Along this transition line, patchy freezing rain is likely, while north of the transition line, accumulating snow can be expected.
For areas along and south of Highway 17, rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 mm are expected. The frozen ground has limited ability to absorb this rainfall.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

What:
- Total snowfall amounts near 15 cm possible. \
- Risk of freezing rain.
When: Intensifying Tuesday evening and diminishing Thursday.
Additional information:
Periods of light snow or rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain, will begin Tuesday and intensify Tuesday evening.
Current indications suggest that the rain-snow transition line will stretch from north of Sault Ste. Marie northeast to Temiskaming shores. Along this transition line, there is a risk freezing rain on Wednesday. North of the transition line, accumulating snow can be expected. The track of the low-pressure system responsible is still somewhat uncertain which will affect exact snowfall amounts and precipitation types.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
