During this time of social/physical distancing teenagers are finding ways to fill time. Trynity goes for long walks in the bush and brings back a record of where we are; Wawa’s Backyard.

This series of photos features a hike to Government Dock. The ‘new green’ is out in full force as is all the blackflies. No moose were seen, but the blue of the water and the serious green makes for some beautiful photographs. Particularly beautiful is the shot of the leaves, then the closeup to see the details of the veining. Did you see the hole in the one leaf? Some bug had a snack. At Government Dock, she captured the contrast between the bright flares of sunlight on the waves, and the dramatic cragginess of the rocks. This series ended with sunset at Buck’s Marina. With her back to sun she showed the boats waiting in the Marina, and then turning around – the sun setting, flaring in the lens.

Wawa-news is pleased to feature this young lady’s photography.
