Victim Identified in Hwy 11 Crash

At approximately 4:46 p.m. on December 11, 2018 members from the Kirkland Lake Detachment and the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle crash on Highway 11 just north of Englehart, Ontario.

A cube van collided with a tractor trailer. The collision caused the vehicles to catch fire. Assisting with this investigation are the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team, Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), Miller Group, Englehart Fire Department and Temiskaming Shores Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

With the assistance of the Office of the Chief Coroner-Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-OFPS) in Sudbury, the deceased has been identified as Kevin CHENIER, 30-years-old, of North Bay, Ontario. The investigation is complete and no charges will be laid.
