Notice to Residents,
The Township of Chapleau has been informed by Hydro One that a planned power outage will be affecting a larger area of Chapleau on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
This outage is necessary to allow Hydro One to carry out the repairs required to restore power to the area. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

La Municipalité de Chapleau a été informée par Hydro One qu’une interruption de courant planifiée touchera une plus grande partie de Chapleau le lundi 16 mars 2026, de 11 h à 13 h.
Cette interruption est nécessaire afin de permettre à Hydro One d’effectuer les réparations requises pour rétablir l’alimentation électrique dans le secteur. Nous vous remercions de votre patience et de votre compréhension durant cette période.

HydroOne has updated there power outage map and it is showing that approx 176 customers in Chapleau are without power at this time. The estimated time of restoration is 11:15 a.m. The cause is stated as ‘extreme weather conditions’.
