Rainfall warning in effect for:
- Agawa – Lake Superior Park
- Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
An area of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms continues to affect areas along the eastern shores of Lake Superior this morning. The rain should taper off by early afternoon.
Due to the fact that the air mass is very moist, very high rainfall rates are possible from time to time.
Rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm are expected.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
