Friday Morning News – March 10

Mar 10, 2017 @ 07:07

Weather – It is quite cold outside with -22 with a windchill of -39, so bundle up. I will get a bit warmer, but not much by this afternoon. The winds will continue to blow, with the possibility of flurries later this morning.

Once again there is a snow squall watch in effect for Montreal River to St. Joseph Island:

  • Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
  • Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay

Snow squalls off Lake Superior may reach the region late this morning or this afternoon. Snowfall rates under the more intense snow squalls may be in the range of about 10 to 15 cm per 12 hours. Strong northwest winds will also result in blowing snow at times.

Snow squalls are expected to shift southward out of the region tonight.
