STIFF, Karen Helvi (nee Niemi)

Passed away at her residence in North Bay on Tuesday, March 8th, 2025 at the age of 61 yrs. She was the dear mother of Kaarina Stiff (Geoff Roth) of Ottawa. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Laila Wilkinson (Henry) of North Bay, Marilyn Bugyra (Nick – deceased) of Sault Ste Marie. Fondly remembered by her nieces & nephews Trevor & Patrick Scott, John & Tammi Wilkinson, Clayton, Colin & Cory Govier. Also survived by her husband Raymond Stiff. Predeceased by her parents Saara & Charlie Niemi and her siblings Kaarlo Niemi and Linda Oster.

Karen will be fondly remembered as a friend and companion by card players at the Edgewater Apartments, and for her crocheted teddy bear donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Family receiving friends for a memorial visitation on Sunday, March 13th from 12:30 until 1:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd., North Bay.

A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home.

Donations in memory of Karen to the Arthritis Society will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
