On September 4, 2022, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called in relation to a disturbance a bar on Philip Walk in Elliot Lake.
The complainant reported a fight had ensued between numerous people inside and was now outside in the parking lot. Once outside, threats were made with a knife and a handgun. Police arrived a short time afterwards, but the suspects had departed in a black car. Numerous people were identified and arrested.
Sarah CAMPBELL, 26 years-old from Elliot Lake, was charged with:
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm, contrary to section 94 of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Accessory After the Fact to Commit Indictable Offence, contrary to section 463(b) of the CC
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on October 11, 2022.
Danny BOUILLON, 25 years-old from Huron Shores, was charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon, contrary to section 267(a) of the CC
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, contrary to section 88 of the CC
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm, contrary to section 94 of the CC
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CC
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking (Three Counts), contrary to section 145(4)(a) of the CC
The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on September 5, 2022.
Kamar MARTIN-GILLETTE, 21 years-old from York was charged with:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, contrary to section 91(1) of the CC
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, contrary to section 88 of the CC
- Carrying Concealed Weapon, contrary to section 90 of the CC
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm, contrary to section 94 of the CC
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on September 5, 2022.
The investigation is continuing and further information will be provided when it becomes available.
