On Saturday, November 25, 2017, at approximately 6:40 am members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East (Chapleau) Detachment responded to a Chapleau residence regarding a report of an assault. At the scene investigation revealed that a physical altercation had taken place between two males.
As a result Andrew PORTELANCE (27) of Chapleau, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Adult Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from custody and is to appear in Court on February 12, 2018.
Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) provides policing services to Wawa, Chapleau, White River, Hornepayne and Dubreuiville.
