On Saturday, October 14, 2017 at approximately 5:40 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East (Chapleau) Detachment were notified of an overdue boater on Lake Kindogen located in the Township of Kalen.
Investigation revealed that a 58 year old male had left a cabin on Kindogen Lake in an aluminum boat at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
Police conducted a search of the lake with the assistance of the OPP Marine Unit and members of the North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT). The missing boater was found deceased on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at approximately 1:40 p.m. on the shore of Lake Kindogen.
The deceased male has been identified as 58 year old Bruce MILNE of Kitchener, Ontario. No further details are available at this time.
