At the time of this update there are 31 active wildland fires in the Northwest Region. Of those fires, 10 are under control and 21 are being observed.

Updated: September 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) No new wildland fires were confirmed in the Northeast Region today. There are currently 6 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region. All of these fires are being observed.

Sep 14, 2026 at 18:30 The highway was reopened at 18:21. At 11:38 ON511 reported that Hwy 101 is currently closed from Chapleau to Foleyet. Imagery on social media shows an ore truck on its side with the load spread across both lanes of the highway. An ambulance was at scene but there is no word on injuries.
