BRYAN, Geraldine Frances

1936-2022

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday March 14, 2022.

Gerry Bryan beloved wife of Todd for 65 years, mother of the late Gordon, Robbie (Louise), Brenda Pelletier (Gilles), cherished grandmother of Randi (Peter), Tyler (Kaili), Brett (Alexandra) and Tanner, great-grandmother of Braden, Kaley, Carter, Riley and Livia.

Gerry was predeceased by her parents Mary and Charles Ward and brother James. She leaves behind her sister Marjorie Wilton (Mike), brother Matt (Sue) and sister Linda.

Gerry was born in Ice Lake, Manitoulin Island, but spent most of her teenage life in Collingwood where her father worked for the shipyard. Her family moved to Wawa in 1953 where she met the love of her life, Todd. They married in 1956.

She started her career with ACR, but will be remembered by most for the 28 years that she worked for The Township of Michipicoten before retiring. Todd and Gerry spent 10 years wintering in Florida before moving to Sault Ste. Marie.

Gerry had many hobbies, but one of her favourite pastimes was Wawa’s Ladies Bonspiel where she and her friends enjoyed making costumes for the parade. She loved to golf, knit, crochet, paper tole but was most noted for her beautiful handmade quilts.

Gerry loved spending time with her family, receiving phone calls, texts and FaceTime calls from those who were not close by.

As per Gerry’s request, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or Community Living Algoma would be greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
