Weather – Freezing rain mixed with ice pellets changing to snow near noon and ending in the afternoon then cloudy. Local snow and ice pellet amount 2 cm. Wind northeast 20 km/h gusting to 40 increasing to 40 gusting to 60 in the morning. High minus 1.
There are freezing rain alerts still active for today.
Roads – The MTO Website still has road conditions as of last night, except for the Dubreuilville highway. Looking at the radar, most roads are probably bare and wet. Be careful driving today, if temperatures drop below freezing – ice may be forming.
At 4:20 this morning Ontario 511 tweeted “Marathon: #HWY17 23 KM W of Marathon, WB lane is blocked due to a tractor trailer fire. Traffic control is in place. #ONHwys”
