News Tidbits – Today is your last day to register for the Michipicoten Golf Club’s 2 Man Scramble! The Scramble is August 5 and 6. Teams will play 18 holes Saturday, and another 18 holes on Sunday. Cost is $200 + HST per Team. Seniors will play 18 holes, and cost is $100 + HST per Seniors Team. Deadline for entries is Friday July 28, at 5:00pm, event will be cancelled if not filled. Pay by Cash or Cheque at the Proshop, 705-856-7409

 

After 30 years of helping cats to find a new home, Sault Ste. Marie’s The Animal Assistance Group, or TAAG for short, is shutting down at the end of the month. TAAG is a not for profit group, that accepts stray and unwanted cats from the Sault, and has accepted cats from Wawa. With funding difficulties, and costs adding up – TAAG will be closing at the months end, with the remaining unhooked cats being handed over to the Humane Society.
