On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at approximately 2:14 am members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment responded to a local White River address regarding the well-being of the occupants. Investigation led police to enter the premise to continue their investigation. Once inside officers observed evidence of what appeared to be controlled drugs. A warrant was executed with the assistance of the Sault Ste. Marie Crime Unit.
As a result, Christian LUNDQUIST (24) of White River Ontario was charged with the following offences:
- Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Cocaine contrary to section 5 (2) of the Control Drugs and Substance Act,
- Adult Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs contrary to section 5 (2) of the C.D.S.A,
- Adult Possession of a Schedule I Substance-Cocaine contrary to section 4 (1) of the C.D.S.A,
- Adult Possession OF A Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking under 3kg contrary to section 5 (2) of the C.D.S.A,
- Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis Marihuana-Over 30 grams contrary to section 4 (1) of the C.D.S.A,
- Adult Possession of a Schedule I Substance-Other Drugs contrary to section 4 (1) of the C.D.S.A,
- Adult Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge contrary to section 145 (5.1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
