Yellow Watch – Severe Thunderstorm (Wawa – Pukaskwa Park)

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.

Hazards:

  • Wind gusts up to 90 km/h.
  • Quarter to Toonie sized hail.

Timing: This evening into the overnight hours.

Additional information: Thunderstorms tracking northeast over Lake Superior are expected to move onshore this evening and continue moving inland tonight. Some storms could become severe with strong winds and large hail. Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.
