Wawa-news.com You can't hear the 'big picture'!
On February 26, 2022 at approximately 8:09 a.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Magpie Road in Wawa. During the investigation, the driver was found to be prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.
As a result, Chicho RUBIANO, 36 years-of-age, from Blairmore, Alberta was arrested and charged with the following:
- Operation While Prohibited, contrary to section 320.18(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), and
- Operation While Prohibited – Legal Restriction from any other Act of Parliament or Provincial Law, contrary to section 320.18(1)(b) of the CC.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 4, 2022 in Wawa.
