On February 14, 2022 at approximately 3:37 a.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a traffic complaint on Highway 17 near Wawa.
Through investigation, the driver of one motor vehicle was determined to have intentionally made contact with a second motor vehicle. No injuries were sustained by anyone involved. As a result, a 40-year-old person, from Dubreuilville was charged with the following:
- Dangerous operation, contrary to section 320.13(1) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in April of 2022 in Wawa. Because the incident was domestic in nature, the name of the accused will not be released.
