In local music news, the Board of Directors of the Wawa Entertainment Series is considering a “Spring Fling” talent show for late May, as a possible fundraiser for the Series and the Wawa Music Festival.

The Wawa Music Festival will be held on the Canada Day long weekend to coincide with the township’s Canada 150 celebrations and the unveiling of our new goose. Matt Larrett explained, “We are investigating the possibility of a “beer garden” on the July 1st activities at the waterfront and leading up to the fireworks, as a fundraiser for the Wawa Entertainment Series, but we don’t have the expertise to do this on our own. If you are confident, competent, and experienced and would be willing to help out we would love to hear from you as soon as possible. The festival will be on us sooner than we can imagine so if you think you can help please don’t delay in reaching out.”

Contact Matt Larrett if you are interested in making these events happen either as a volunteer or performer.

There is a Wawa Public Library Board meeting in the Library at 6:00 p.m.  Everyone is welcome!
