VERNIER, Ronald “Ron”

Born May 31, 1943, passed away on August 26, 2016, at the Lady Dunn Health Centre with his family by his side. Beloved wife of Katherine “Kate” Vernier for 47 years. Cherished father of Cindy Szekely (Dan), Jeff (Kori) and Kelly Vernier (Jay Parent). Devoted and proud grandpa of Daniel, Matthew, Abbi, Makayla, Kingston, Kaiel, and Oaklea. Dear brother of Rita London (Dave), Anita Daoust (Tom), Ray Vernier (Ida), John Glen Reynolds and Wayne Reynolds. Dear brother-in-law of Dan McIntosh (Colleen).

Ron will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home (140 Churchill Avenue, 705-856-7340) on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Peter Chalykoff officiating.

Memorial donations made to the Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Chris Stamler, Louise Needham and all of the staff at the Lady Dunn Health Centre as well as everyone that has assisted Ron and the family over the last few months.
