Weather – Cloudy. A few flurries beginning late this afternoon. Wind southwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Temperature falling to zero this afternoon. Tonight, a few flurries ending late this evening then partly cloudy. Wind southwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light this evening. Low minus 14.

Marine – Gale warning in effect. Wind south 35 knots diminishing to west 30 early this morning then increasing to west 35 this afternoon. Wind veering to northwest 35 early this evening then diminishing to northwest 30 near midnight. Wind diminishing to northwest 20 overnight and to northwest 15 Wednesday morning. Wind becoming south 15 near noon Wednesday then increasing to south 30 Wednesday evening. A few showers beginning this afternoon changing to a few flurries this evening and ending Wednesday morning. Waves 3 metres building to 4 early this evening then subsiding to 2 overnight. Waves subsiding to one Wednesday morning then building to 2 Wednesday evening.

News Tidbits – The wind is very gusty today, at 7:24 this morning a 64.3 km/h gust was recorded in the Mission (Wawaweather.net), the Harbour measured the strongest gust so far today as being 62.9 km/h at 2:57 a.m. These winds should continue for the better part of the day.

The WMHA will be hosting a Hockey Canada Skills Camp in early January.
