Wind becoming south 30 km/h gusting to 50 this morning. High plus 1. Tonight, periods of snow except periods of rain along the lakeshore. Fog patches developing this evening. Amount 5 cm inland. Wind south 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light this evening. Low minus 1.

 

Marine – Gale warning in effect.Wind southeast 25 knots increasing to southeast 35 early this morning then diminishing to south 20 early this evening. Wind diminishing to southwest 15 near midnight then becoming north 15 overnight. Wind increasing to north 25 Saturday morning. Waves one metre building to 3 to 4 this morning then subsiding to 2 this evening. Waves subsiding to one overnight then building to 2 near noon Saturday.

News Tidbits – The Ontario government will introduce back-to-work legislation that could end a nearly five-week strike by college faculty. The legislation would require Ontario’s 24 colleges to resume operations, ensuring students are able to complete their academic studies.

The fifth round of NAFTA renegotiations begins today in Mexico. The talks, which began in August, are scheduled to last until the end of March 2018.
