Snowfall warning in effect for:
- Agawa – Lake Superior Park
Significant snowfall is expected today.
Hazards:
Snowfall amounts around 15 cm.
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.
Moderate winds gusting up to 60 km/h producing local blowing snow.
Timing:
This morning and continuing into early Friday morning.
Discussion:
A mix of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain is expected to transition to snow this morning. The snow is then expected to intensify later this morning before tapering off early Friday morning.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
