From the Branch – February 16

Comrade Barb advises me that she delivered Poster and Literary winnings to the area schools.  4 of 7 schools participated, including Dubreuilville. Over $800.00 in awards were given out; that money comes from our Poppy fund.  Our way of giving back to the Community. There were a total of 214 entries – great participation.

Wawa had more entries than all of our Zone which covers 11 communities from White River to Massey along the Hwy. 17 corridor, it also includes Chapleau.  Way to go!

We look forward to results at the District level – two Wawa students are still in the running – Madison and Hana for their black and white posters.  Fingers crossed!

Many thanks to students for entering, and to teachers and Principals for promoting this worthwhile competition based on Remembrance.  Lest we forget.

Things are still on hold at the branch and we are still awaiting the real reopening of the hall. Hopefully, we can get back to normal soon.

To all our Comrades sick at home, in the hospital or nursing homes You are in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you well.
