CASE, Carl Arvid

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Arvid Case at the Lady Dunn Health Centre on Thursday March 3, 2022 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Sharon Moore. Loving father of Jody (Todd), Debbie (Maurice), Carl (Lucille) and step-dad of Peter and Thomas. Proud grandfather of Jade, Josh, Carlee, Heather, Taylor, Brandon, Bradley and gramps of Brittany, Cameron, Cooper and Parker. Great grandfather of Angelo. Dear son of the late Wilfred Gordon Case and Lily Marie Holm. Dear brother of Della, the late Wilfred, Robert (Sylvija) and Ronnie (Joanne).

Carl was a proud man with a loving, giving heart. He adored his entire family and relished in activities with them. He also loved the great outdoors and took much pleasure in fishing with his favourite “girl” Sharon. As well as loving the good life, Carl was a committed, talented tradesman. He kept many a home warm and in good running order for over 40 years.

At Carl’s request, cremation has taken place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie.

There will be a celebration of life in Carl’s memory this summer.

Sincere sympathies to Sharon and the entire Case family. John remembers Carl as a cheerful classmate and a really agile goalie when playing hockey. If Carl wasn’t there to be goalie, the guy replacing him would say “I’ll be Carl”. It was always a pleasure to chat with him as there was a definite bond. The last time I was able to speak with him was outside the grocery store when he was waiting for Sharon and he was concerned about how John was doing. We also have a tin “fishbox” in our boat that Carl made for John ages ago. Good memories! So sorry he is gone.
