In a leak yesterday, Volkswagen gave the news that the US side of operations was going to be renamed ‘Voltswagen’. Apparently this was part of an elaborate April’s Fool Joke that was leaked early. The media release was to be part of a media campaign about their launch of the all-electric ID.4 SUV.

 

Premier Doug Ford along with Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, François-Philippe Champagne, Federal Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, Patty Hajdu, Federal Minister of Health, and John Tory, Mayor of Toronto, will make an announcement at 10:00 a.m.

 

Did you know? On March 31, 1889, the Eiffel Tower was dedicated in Paris in a ceremony presided over by Gustave Eiffel, the tower’s designer, and attended by French Prime Minister Pierre Tirard, a handful of other dignitaries, and 200 construction workers.
