News Tidbits:

There are ten active fires in the Northeast region at the time of this update. Of these fires, three are not under control, all of which are located in the far north, two are under control and four are being observed. The fire hazard is low to moderate across most of the region, while some areas near Greater Sudbury and sections of the far north are showing a high hazard. An area near Bancroft is showing a high to extreme hazard today.

 

There are currently 19 active forest fires in the Northwest Region. Eight are not under control, six are under control, four are being observed and one is being held. The forest fire hazard ranges from low to extreme with the area of highest hazard in the central portion of the region.

 

Good news for some fitness buffs – the Wawa Men’s Health Club is opening tomorrow with special rules. Many other businesses are preparing to open in the near future:  Embassy, The Gallery, and Young’s General Store – to name a few. Remember to shop safely.

Premier Doug Ford will be joined by Ernie Hardeman, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, to make an announcement at 1 p.m.
