The Wawa Fire Department held an Open House “Have Coffee with a Firefighter” on Sunday, October 17yh from noon til 3 p.m. This was a great opportunity to visit the Wawa Fire Hall, see some of the equipment, and if you were a child… sit in a fire truck! Well, they won’t say, but I think a few adults might have been tempted to ask for that opportunity too.
Our firefighters are volunteers, and spend many hours training to prepare them for any eventuality. These firefighters not only extinguish fires, they help with extrication of victims at vehicle collisions, traffic control and cleanup. They provide a very important service for our community.
